Smart Thermostat installed as Wireless Temperature sensor
Can a smart thermostat be installed as a wireless temperature sensor and added to an existing room? The only way I was able to do this was to register the smart thermostat and then call tado to move it to the correct room. When I register the smart thermostat is assigned direct to a new create room and cnnot be moved!
Thank you

If I understand your question right I think I had a similar problem and what I did was:
1. Delete the existing room that I wanted the thermostat in via Tado app (reassign TRV to another room temporarily if you need to)
2. In the thermostat settings in the app set room or name (can't quite remember this bit sorry) as the name of the room just deleted. (This essentially creates a new room that you can assign other TRVs etc to)
Assign TRVs to the new room as you would usually.
So its almost like the thermostat has to be the 'master' for the room it is in and then other components can then be assigned. (If your room already exists then you can't assign the thermostat to it). Sorry if that doesn't make sense its a bit hard to explain. If you can't figure it out let me know and I'll try again when I've not had a few beers!!5

Thank you, this will work but will require new schedule definition. Tado advised that it should work like any smart radiator thermostat - be able to added it to an existing room - which doesn’t seem to be the case.0
