How can I turn my boiler to off?

Hi, new to tado - enjoying so far but wondering if there's a way to actually make my boiler silent now?
It's set to always on, as per tado instructions and when I turn off the heating from Tado it turns on "Frost Protection" - I assume this is why my boiler still makes noise? The problem is it's a little loud and I'm left wondering if I'm saving energy as before I would have the heating completely off for most of the year - pipes are well insulated and do fine.
Does anyone know if there's a way to make the boiler actually be off, without overriding Tado?
