Is there a way to keep all the TRVs open but no heating?
I’d like to be able to leave all the valves open for the summer without the boiler firing. This reduces the likely hood of the sticking shut. Spent too much time sat on the floor pressing the plungers.

@JBdoessound There is a way but for some reason, tado has decided to keep it switched only by support rather than users. If you contact tado they will, as you wait, change the primacy of your system so as to ONLY allow trvs to call for heat when the main boiler-controlling thermostat is, itself calling for heat. But you would have to do this twice per year. I suspect that is a tad too cumbersome?

@JBdoessound Hello. I suppose it depends on your system. I could do this by turning off heating (not hot water) at the boiler and then putting each TRV into 'asking for heat' mode. I like your handle - are you a hifi buff?

Thanks for your reply. Not so much a hifi buff. I’m a live sound engineer, now teach at a Uni.
My system doesn’t allow that kind of switching, so if I leave the TRVs asking for heat it all gets a bit toasty. Be nice to have a little switch in the software to be able to achieve this.0 -
Many thanks. I’ll think about it for next year.0
