Slow response to manual temperature change

I am concerned that it can take up to 15 minutes for changes to my thermostat to be recognised by my boiler {especially turning it off if I get too warm in the house). I keep asking technical about this and I keep being told that it's to do with preventing boiler overwork. But in another house, Hive can control changes almost instantly. I am frustrated to the point where I no longer feel I have control over my own system and I don't trust Tado.

@DavidW Hello. Which thermostat are you talking about please? Just the boiler-control one or does that include tado trvs? When the last tado device has stopped calling for heat, my boiler stops firing within seconds but, correctly, continues water circulation until it reduces its water temperature to a given level. That process can take up to 5 minutes or so.

  • Thanks @samd. I only have a standard thermostat connected to the bridge and boiler control. No TRVs.
