Go into your first time block which will be an 'Off' block starting at 0:00 which you cannot alter. Alter the 'End' time to 07:30 and save it (tick - top right). Select the next block and you will notice it has start time of 07:30. Enter your end time of 21:00; change heating to ON and save it. You will then have a final "off" block starting at 21:30 and ending at 0:00.
I use Off block to mean heating not selected for On at top right .

Spot on! The end at 00:00 cannot be altered just as you cannot alter the start time in first block. Midnight to midnight.

Thanks so much hopefully we’ve done it

OK so you have not installed radiator thermostats so your aim is to leave the current devices on your radiators fully open and the Tado Boiler thermostat will control the times your boiler fires. If that statement is true and it is still not working following the changes you have made to the smart schedule, then it really points to the installation of the Tado Boiler-control thermostat. Is there any way you can re-trace the wiring arrangements for the installation because it is very unlikely that my system is similar to yours.

Hi back not holding my breath 🙄
Have set 1st block at 00.00 ends at 07.30 temp set to 16•
2nd block starts at 0.7.30 ends at 21.00pm temp set to 22•
3rd block starts at 21.30pm temp set at 16• but it doesn’t give me a highlighted end time option, it’s showing 00.00 have I done this correctly??????? Marilyn0 -
Hi good morning, no luck yesterday, heating didn’t go off last night and didn’t come on this morning. I don’t know what I am doing wrong, do you have time to help? Marilyn0

Hello
I didn't notice yesterday that you said third block started at 2130 but that the second block ended at 2100 - please comment on that.
Please look at each block and confirm that the status of each for the heating selector (heating top line when in edit mode) is as follows:
block 1 heating off
block 2 heating on
block 3 heating off
Finally what days have you selected? Open a smart schedule and you can select mon-sun etc.
Don't worry about asking daft questions - we all do!

I am afraid you have lost me now, I don’t understand what you mean regarding block 1heating off etc I don’t have this come up on my smart schedule and can’t click on edit. I took some screenshot but couldn’t send them to you it came back
I have setup mon-Sunday all the same as The easy option

OK
- Open a Smart Schedule
- Click on block 1 and you are now in edit mode
- Underneath black band at top is Heating with an on/off switch at the right side.
- So your first block Heating should be greyed out, Second should be Blue and third greyed out.

Ok, 1st block 1 is saying off and is grey ends at “7.30
Block 2 starts at 0.7.30 ends at 20.00, colour is orange
Block 3 is saying off and grey starts 21.00

Two Issues:
- I didn't think it was possible to have 2 adjacent blocks UNLESS the end time of one block matched exactly the start time of the next block. Please confirm that you only have 3 time blocks and that there is an hours gap between end of block 2 and the start of block 3.
- I do not understand your mention of 'Orange' for block 2. Blue is the colour** of the on/off slider - blue is heat on and grey is heat off
**..and my truelove's hair!

Hi I only have 3 blocks,
1off Ends 07.30
2 starts 07. 30 ends 20.00
3 off starts 21.00
If this is wrong I give up ☹️
I am not stupid but this really hard, don’t understand what I am doing wrong.
Thanks for all your help you have been trying hard to help me
Marilyn0 -
OK but don't give up - yet!!
Can you tell me what your setup consists of please? That is what Tado devices do you have. If, for example, you have a Tado thermostat controlling the boiler, the default setting when installed is that unless that thermostat is calling for heat, the other devices will not activate the boiler. If this is the case for your setup, going onto their website and using the chat line (bottom left) you can ask them to alter the settings so that all devices have the ability to call the boiler.
