No temperature display on TADO Thermostat

Noticed yesterday that a firmware update was being performed by the smart thermostat. Now there is no display when I press the button to read temperature or to manually alter the temperature.

Display works OK as can get HI when I check it with the App, All devices showing as connected and good.

Heating works okay via the app.

When experiencing issues with the display of the Smart Thermostat, i.e. No display, or the display is visible but only for a second, inability to change temperature. Best thing to do is replace the batteries with new batteries,

Does it constantly display current temperature? Mine don't and I thought it's how tado has designed.
