Repeated 'No Remote Access' between 3am and 6am

My bridge used to randomly disconnect (and stay disconnected) when connected to a NetGear WiFi Booster from a Sky Router; Switching the Base unit off and on used to correct that. Then it started to disconnect at 3 am and reconnect at 6am; I thought connecting to my Sky Q Mini box would help resolve it but no!

Now it has disconnected between 3am and 6am for 5 consecutive nights! Any ideas gratefully received.

  • I have the same issue and am also on Sky. At 3am my Tado Climate Report/History Graphs show "no remote access" from 3am to 5:45am every day since I installed it, other than on the very first day. I have had the Tado for about a week. Note that I am powering the Tado off of my Sky box with the cable provided but rather than being plugged in to the mains it is powered by the Sky Q box. Not sure if it is related to this, e.g. the Sky box goes to sleep so stops powering whatever is connected, but thought it might be worth mentioning. I can try the plug provided to see if this loss of connection goes away.

  • I found the solution/cause. As soon as I plugged the Bridge into the mains using the provided plug adapter (rather than powering it via USB in to the back of the sky box) it stopped disconnecting at night, or at least it has done for the last 2 nights and it had shown as disconnected every night since I installed it so am confident this was the issue/cause (I.e. the sky Q box going to sleep or reducing power and therefore removing power to the Tado bridge that was connected to it.
