3 Central Heating Zones + Under Floor Heating zone + hot water tank
Hi, I am looking to install a Tado X solution into my home which currently has an old 'non-smart' setup installed. I am wondering if my setup can be solution-ed with a Tado , and which devices are required. Current setup is….
Worcestor-Bosch greenstar boiler
System Hotwater tank
Old Drayton Heating and Hot water timing programmer
3 CH zones, each with wired thermostats zone valve
A wet underfloor heating zone, with its own thermostat and timer control
Any help appreciated in determining if it is possible to change what seems like (to an amatuer) quite a complicated setup!

Questions.
- Which precise model of boiler? Greenstars, when digitally modulated tend to operate on EMS-BUS, which the X series doesnt handle. However the V3 series does handle it.
- is your house very large, any specific reason you want to use the X series?
- How many UFH thermostats do you have? Are there wiring centre dedicated to the UFH manifold(s)?
- How many non UFH wired thermostats do you have right now? Makes and models please. Are they all connected to two-port motorised zone valves?
- The HW storage tank.. does it have a dedicated zone valve? What is its thermostat make and model? There are a few out there which are EMS compatible.
It is complicated to undertstand in the beginning but this doesnt have to be stressful. It may take a few exchanges here to work out the steps. You might also decided you will need a good electrician with central heating experience to work on the wiring, but thats not always necessary.
