On the Wired Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+ Does the bridge need a power supply?

Hi folks,

little confused here. The internet bridge that connects to the router, is it power over ethernet or does it need a seperate mains power supply. It looks like the kit does not come with a power supply, if needed.

Hello @Dogbolter Welcome. The V3+ Internet Dongle is powered by USB. The starter kit comes with a separate USB power block. We plug the Internet Dongle into an ethernet port and USB connection on an EE router. Our rellie with a Virgin router plugs their Internet Dongle into the ethernet port of a TP/Link WiFi extender and uses the Tado USB power block.

It needs powering via a USB lead, either from a USB port on the router, if it has one, or from its own plug in power supply which, in the case of mine, was supplied along with the bridge . . .
