Tado multiroom vs multizone
Hi,
The house I've moved in to has 2 17yr old boilers linked together that work in tandem to heat 3 zones (ground/1st floor/2nd floor) using wired thermostats on each floor, these are to be replaced in the next year as I'm planning on getting wet underfloor heating in the kitchen extension which they do not support. It's an old drafty house and the hallways (where the current thermostats are located) are much colder than the rooms.
I'm struggling to decide between
- Wireless thermostat set-up connected to the boiler and hot water (megaflow tank) with Tado TRF's on all radiators set to the temperatures I want the rooms to be during the day and night
- x3 wired Tado thermostats (as currently I have) and the Tado TRF's, but I worry the wired thermostats will constantly ask the boilers to activate even though the Tado TRF's in multi rooms shouldn't be triggered as the room temperature (mainly overnight) hasn't hit the activation temperature
I'd love some input, I'm looking at the V3 due to the significant cost saving at the moment, and will likely upgrade to the Tado X system as long as the V3 works like I hope it will.
Appreciate any insight.
Kunal.

Hello @ksudra
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like our community members were able to offer any advice. My suggestion to you is to contact tado° support via live chat. Explain the home improvements you hope to make in the future and they will be able to confirm whether tado° will be compatible / which devices to purchase.0
