Hi, does anyone know if the Tado app plays nicely with the Eve Thermo TRV‘s? I have a ton of Eve Thermo TRV’s and don’t want to replace them all when buying a tado X. Does anyone know if the Eve TRV‘s will show up in the Tado app? Will the Tado X thermostat turn the boiler on if an eve Thermo TRV calls for heat? I’d welcome comments from anyone who has experience of this. It would be a shame to buy a tado X and for it not to do what I need it to do, thanks Steve.

You need tado° Smart Radiator Thermostats.
Your Eve Thermo TRV will not be recognized by the tado° app.

Thanks for confirming. What about inside HomeKit? Would I have the option to ditch the Tado app and simple run HomeKit with Tado X thermostat and numerous Eve TRV? The Eve TRV are already there so would just need the Tado X to be added. Will the Tado X thermostat inside HomeKit respond to Eve TRVs calling for heat? If there is another way to make them all work together I’d welcome your input. Thanks.

I'll ask my colleagues to confirm, but I highly doubt tado° would work with any other heating brand, even on Home Kit.

Thanks for confirming. From a commercial standpoint, I understand why. Your marketing however is mis leading as it indicates it works with existing heating systems. Without harnessing the true power of matter and thread, I don’t really see the point in the X system. Shame. Thanks for the prompt feedback.
