Tado devices too slow to react

Hi everyone.

I have noticed recently that my devices are very slow to react.

I change the temperature on the phone and it takes around 5 minutes for the change to be reflected on the device. I also request the devices to blink and there is no effect until after 5 minutes that I see the blink. Is this normal? Any help on where to look for the problem? Note that I have a very good internet connection. Is it my installation or TADO experiences delays?

Thank you.

John

  • I’m having the same issue
  • Same here, when did you notice this?
  • apparently yesterdays problems are still not fixed

  • What were the problems?
  • @Mushy I noticed it yesterday but I recently moved the router to another position and I was wondering if it had anything to do with that. But apparently not since everything else is working fine. And the TADO hub is right next to the router, with one of the radiator thermostat just 1 meter from the hub (and even that thermostat is slow in blinking or reacting in general).

  • I’m not getting anywhere with establishing whether it’s a local problem but as I’m fitting a new Tado system in my daughter’s house it’s making things very difficult to setup as new devices are not being recognised
  • Really slow reaction from the app to call for heat or hot water. Has anyone had an answer from Tado technical?

  • This must be a Tado problem since a number of us are seeing it. It's definitely better today but still not "normal"

Investing that this should happen when the weather has turned a lot colder. Making me wonder if the tado backend can't keep up with demand

I normally get email updates from tado for this sort of thing but nothing on this occasion. @Emcee , can you provide any update?
  • I had the same problem with all my thermostats but I noticed one had a very low battery. I changed the battery and all the thermostats are responding as normal now.
May just be coincidence but I’m up and running fine now!

I think this often occurs at the beginning of the “heating season .” Presumably the servers are a bit sluggish after the summer months . . .
  • I just received this.
