Could a Smart Radiator perform the role of the Wireless Temperature Sensor?
Could a Smart Radiator Thermostat not mounted on a radiator, if added to a room, perform the role of the Wireless Temperature Sensor? Because, since the cost is practically the same, I could have some spare Smart Radiator Thermostat for emergencies or in case of replacement

Yes, but you need to attach it to a radiator or at least a valve for the calibration process. After calibration you can remove it from the radiator and place it anywhere in the room.0

Weirdly, I stumbled upon this the other day: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196742055741
Can't vouch for it, but seems to be ideal for that purpose…
