Wired Thermostat not firing boiler
Smart thermostat Firmware 215.2.
Batteries fully charged.
Worked since install January 2024. no longer triggers when temp drops below setting.
CH working for every other rad and zone.
Bypassed thermostat switch by linking wires therefore connection made and heating triggered for zone.
Swapped with wired thermostat from another zone, works.
Conclusion is that original zone thermostat has failed within 12 months.
Is there a replacement under guarantee available?

Given the description of troubleshooting steps, it seems that the thermostat is at fault. It might be broken (=warranty), but I've also seen customers accidentally changing the configuration of the thermostat. For example from Relay to Opentherm. This also stops it from correctly firing the boiler. This, however, is easily remedied by changing the configuration back to how it was.
So, I'd add that to the troubleshooting steps. Check/redo the configuration. You can do so by following the installation steps in the app. The wiring steps might be superfluous here, but the matching configuration change that also entails is important here. If your boiler expects a relay connection, simply say you're replacing a "Honeywell Chronotherm On/Off" thermostat. Then your wired thermostat will be configured for a relay connection.
You can also ask support to check the config.

Yes there should be, under UK law, but you need to contact Tado directly though the app and get support woken up and arranging this. They may take a week or two, but you have a legal right in the UK to have replacements or repairs within 1 year of purchase. This forum is with end users.
