Vokera Syntesi - hot water but no heating

I have had a tado installed it is all connected to each other and can see everything on app, but when I increase heating in the app it doesn't switch the boiler on. Hot water works but no heating. I would appreciate any suggestions, I put it into test mode and it kicked the boiler in the straight off again.

    @policywonk thanks for all the references and guidance managed to sort the issue this morning, the analogue timer had an extra wire that was overlooked and that i believe was causing miscommunication between the boiler and the receiver once removed resolved the issue. Cheers. 👍 checking of the wiring of the receiver to boiler terminal blocks no wire are terminated within the = terminal.

    What thermostats are you using? Have they been mated with the bridge and included in the correct rooms? If so push for support, using the app, to check on the configuration first.
    What you've described means that the wireless receiver, if that's what you are using, works. So the next step is to get the thermostats to do their job, which is to tell the receiver to fire the boiler.
    Do they do that when you turn them up directly, not through the app?
  • Had a similar issue with me also today. Waiting to get help from technical support.
  • @policywonk all devices are paired. I configured to on all the time through the app to see if it responds - it didn't. Then tried activating using the receiver - it requested heating and kicked the boiler in then dropped out, now nothing.

    @Jayakumar, @CarF.

    Bear with me. Do you have the internal clock fitted?

    This link: syntesi_installation_and_servicing_instructions.pdf - pages 15 and 16 identify the potential presence of an internal clock. Look at figure 16 on page 16, and also look at page 39.

    If that is fitted its very presence may be causing your problems. My understanding, studying the circuit is this is how it should be applied:

    1. First fit a bridging wire between the two terminals on the chocolate strip marked TA. This should bypass the internal clock.

    Whether or not the internal clock is fitted, ensure that:

    1. The Tado Smart Wired Stat you are using is wired into the lower TA point, and the point marked "=".
    2. Your Tado wired stat is correctly configured in RELAY mode. Tado should have given you instructions for that.

    If not, get your installer to change it wiring.

    If you didnt have it professionally installed, call VOKERA tech support and get them to confirm that this proposed wiring layout is correct before applying it. If you do have to apply it yourself do make sure that the power is isolated before you handle the wires. All of this operates at full mains voltage.
