Hello,

I have a tado wireless thermostat.

My tado wireless receiver stopped working, so tado has sent me a new one. I am getting an electrician to swap the old tado wireless receiver for the new one that tado has sent me.

I have seen the installation manual online, and it talks "using the Wireless Temperature Sensor to configure the Wireless Receiver interface".

I would like to know what this configuration is for. I am asking because the electrician is an elderly gentleman who is not confident with smart/internet based appliances - he is more of an old school electrician - and I am not able to be present when he installs it. I am hoping that we can skip this step.

    The removal of the old wireless receiver and its replacement should be a set of simple steps.
    1. Lever off the old one.
    2. Inform your app that it has replaced the old one by scanning the qr code for the new one before fitting it.
    3. Make sure the Internet bridge and the receiver are talking to each other.

    It should not need an electrician as the process for the swap is simple.
