Will a wired tado thermostat work for my combi boiler?

Hi all,
I have a Vaillant EcoFit 825 combi boiler, that uses Opentherm. I have a wired thermostat (honeywell) in the wall AND a Salus wireless thermostat (used to control heating atm).
I want to upgrade to Tado, and as far as I can tell, to support OpenTherm I need either the wired tado thermostat or the EU wireless tado thermostat (more expensive).
Will both of these work with my setup?

The wired Tado thermostat should work in Opentherm mode only controlling your CH zone. There seems no point in trying to control the hot water side, as you have already chosen a combi which has enough controls to handle its on-demand HW efficiency.
