Hello,

i do have the possibility to buy 8 Tado thermostat smart (classic, no X and without bridge) for a good price.

On the box it's written "horizontal".

i'm aware that now this mention is gone and that a Software update made horizontal/vertical as not relevant anymore.

My question is, are there different/older hardware with limitation, out there i should be aware of?

thermostat and humidity measurement are my main Focus.

i ask because i had an issue with philips hue in the past.

    I thought the horizontal/vertical was to do with the physical orientation of the display and that can't be changed with firmware

    If you want to use rechargeable batteries it must be a V3+ TRV - modem VA02. The model number is on a label on the bottom of the TRV. If your seller can tell you what they are then that would help

    Also, be aware that the temp/humidty measured by the TRV is obviously taken at the install location which may not be close to the actual room temp/humidty for a variety of reasons.
