Trv zones

Hi,I currently have a Tado system installed and previously tried using a few smart TRV valves upstairs. However, I removed them after a week because the temperature readings were consistently inaccurate, even after adjusting the offsets.
Now, I'm considering upgrading and installing smart TRV valves throughout the house. My plan is to install a wireless temperature sensor upstairs and pair all the upstairs TRVs with that sensor. I understand that adjusting the upstairs temperature will activate the heating for that zone.
My question is: Can I set it up so that the downstairs wireless thermostat also controls the upstairs radiators? Essentially, I want turning on the downstairs thermostat to heat the entire house, while turning on the upstairs thermostat would only heat the upstairs.
Thank you in advance for your help!

In your plan the downstairs wireless stat would only open the rads downstairs, the upstairs wireless stat would do the same with the rads upstairs. The downside is that the benefits of having different heating timetables for each room would dissapear - you would in fact end up with two virtual rooms.

There is anoften unforeseen problem when splitting a house into two logical zones like this, even if you improve the efficiency by installing motorised zone valves. A great deal of energy can be wasted as the pump tries to keep pressure up for all the rads just in case they elect to open - so there is a continuing wasted heat in the piping. One way of reducing the energy loss is to replace the pump with a smart pump that measures differential pressure and throttles itself up or down as it senses need.
