How much data is being used by the tado system?
I am currently on holiday but something is using 1 to 2 gbs a day and the only culprit I can think of is the Tado radiator valves etc ,these are all set to frost protection.
I Have smarty sim in a home mifi , the smarty app is telling me I'm using data everyday, am I missing something?

The tado° devices communicate via radio at 868 MHz using the IPv6 enabled “6LoWPAN” protocol. The advantage of using this protocol for the tado° wireless network, instead of Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz), is the extremely low power consumption combined with superior range inside buildings and through walls.
The only item requiring your data allowance is the bridge connected by ethernet to your router.

@country Our broadband router reports that Tado is using about 1.5 mbps data a day. If you’re using 1000X that amount, suggest that you look at your broadband router logs for the wired or wireless port with excessive data usage.

Thank you for all your comments and suggestions,
I'm not sure how to look at my broadband router logs yet but it's work in progress 😀0 -

@country I'd be far more suspicious of a video stream than the very low data rate of Tado IOT devices. Do you have a Ring-type doorbell or security camera?
This is from a BT (EE branded) router.
- Log in to the Hub manager. Usually on IP address 192.168.1.254
- Status. The page shows 4 days uptime
- My devices. The Tado dongle is in Port3 and has used 6.0 MB. Thats's about 1.5MB a day. Which is next to nothing and consistent with 6LoWPAN tor IOT devices.
- My devices. Our wireless doorbell is uploading about 75MB a day. One camera is doing much the same, 25MB a day for upload and 40MB a day for download.

This is a screenshot from a BT (EE branded) router. You'll need to look in the 'My devices' screen.
