Tasked as He or She clearly has been to re-open old posts that have not been answered is hardly the way to re-vitalise this forum methinks! I looked at around half a dozen of those posts and the originator checked back after posting for a few days and then has not been seen since. first 5 I looked at had not been back for 15 months or so. Does this system now send notifications of entries to originators?

    Mmm, I began a new thread querying this yesterday; it appears to have been deleted . . . Update, no it’s still there but so many old posts have been stirred up it’s now a long way down the list!

    Yes, this is frustrating. All they've achieved is to move new posts away from the first page and out of the view of people who can genuinely help

    It would have made more sense for @Emcee to contact those users directly

    Thanks for the welcome message…I think 😉

    It's true that currently I am going through old messages that have not been answered, either by tado° employees or community members. You'll notice that the answer I am posting in these old threads specifically ask members to re-post should they still have the same question. This is to ensure that:

    1- Active community members are aware that I have seen their message and that I will try to answer their question(s) in a new post should they still be facing the same issue to this day.

    2- Show new community members that although tado° community posts have not been answered in the past, there is currently an attempt to make the forum more lively and interactive.

    This is just the start of my efforts to revitalise the forum. There is more to come 😊

    @Emcee This is just the start of my efforts to revitalise the forum. Fine and dandy as that maybe, there are members on here who have spent countless hours filling the void that your paid colleagues deliberately created many moons ago and your initial efforts have, as others have pointed out been a pretty poor start for the forum as a whole.

    You didn't answer my question about whether or not you are notifying these people who no longer visit here. If they haven't visited in over a year……?

    I did and do welcome you but it would be great if you introduced yourself and your role etc

    I understand. In fact, after seeing the community's reaction to my earlier actions, I have decided to stop closing old threads.

    I am also very thankful to the handful of you who have "filled the void" for the last years, as you've put it 😊 I think it might be wise to nominate some of you as moderators in the future.

    Users get a notification when they are tagged. Whether these notification are by email depends on whether they confirmed their email when joining / the preferences they've set on their profile.

    As for me and my role, I will fulfill your request to get to know me in the next days via a new pinned post.
