Installing wireless smart thermostat receiver

I Hope you’re doing great today.
I have a little question, I’m trying to install the wireless smart thermostat. But sadly I cannot find my heating system in the model selection for the receiver.
I know it’s an older model; 14 years old. But it’s not in the list. What can I do?
We don’t have an existing thermostat either.
I found all the cabling, but even there I don’t know which ones to connect.
I’m sorry for the stupid questions. I’m trying to fix it as a surprise for my husband.

If you have a wireless temperature sensor then the wiring will be to the wireless receiver which replaces whatever programmer you currently have. I think a bit more detail about your system is needed before people here can be of much help. Is there a hot water tank, and if so is the system Y or S plan ?0
