Can the hot water be turned off without affecting the central heating.
I can only think of changing the schedule

    Assuming you have a system such as Y plan or S plan then yes, the hot water can be controlled independently of the heating . . .

    Thanks for that, gosh, Y plan or S plan, I remember those. I have a motorised valve so can have heating, hot water or both. Can I turn the hot water off without changing a schedule?

    Yes, turn it off manually in the app or using the HW control on the wireless temperature sensor.

    Which brings me back to my question, how do I turn it off and leave it off until I require hot water again?

    Well just operate it manually and set the schedule to permanently off I would say . . .
