Erratic Controller

Hello all Gurus,
I have been trying to fix an issue since i upgraded to a smart meter where I have noticed that my tado system switches the boiler on between 3:30-4:30am occasionally (adding up to almost £30 per month). I spoke to support and they have asked for wiring pictures etc.. but if it works most of the time why would it be wiring. Has anyone else has this or similar problem and how did they fix it. I am my tethers end and if i cant solve the issue i think i shall need to consider getting rid of this wasteful system
