Install Tado on Vailant EcoTech Plus 825 replace BDR91
Hi, Can anyone please comfirm i am correct , just to make sure.
I have a BDR91 and im replacing with the tado wireless reciever.
My existing wiring in BDR91 unit (attached)
- Am i correct, this is a "Potential Free" setup?
- Live(brown) from boiler AND power supply goto "L" in Tado reciever
- Neutral(blue) from boiler AND power supply goto "N" in Tado reciever
- Silver/grey wire from boiler goto "CH COM" in Tado reciever
- black wire from boiler goto "CH NO" in Tado reciever
I dont want a disaster on my hands, the wife will go nuts LOL

Apparently im not allowed to take cover off the boiler even to look at the wiring on the board.
P.S. the bare cables in BDR91 are not my handywork. This is the first time i have seen inside the box. The Pro Installer fitted this.

Ok , you live and learn. All done. I didn’t realise the instructions when setting up clearly show how to wire the receiver for the bdr91.
At least I was forced to find out what “potential free” is. Don’t necessarily understand it, but I know what it is.
But all good and tado system seems great so far.0 -
What was the answer for this please? I have the same wireing on my old bdr91. do you do as you have said and put both live into the tado terminal? It is what I am assuming but can't find any info and the help centre are not being very quick0
