Difference between horizontal and vertical TRVs

is there a difference besides the orientation of the display ? If not, whats the point of buying the horizontal ones, even when mounted horizontally, the display is still at a 90 degree angle. But when you mount it vertically, the display is upside down. The vertical one can work either way, its either at a 90 degree angle, or its correct. Why would anyone want the horizontal model?
