2 zone radiator valves
A plumber has just installed my system. My system has 2 zones (upstairs and downstairs). We have the ‘smart thermostat’ downstairs and the ‘wireless smart thermostat’ upstairs. However, the radiators in the same rooms of the thermostats don’t seem to be controlled by its corresponding thermostat. I.e. if the thermostat downstairs drops below the requested temperature and then asks the boiler to heat the radiators. It sends it to the radiator both upstairs AND downstairs The system we had before didn’t have this problem and the 2 zones were properly separated.
How do I ensure the upstairs radiator is only controlled by the upstairs thermostat?

You need to set the zone controller for the rooms in the respective zones. https://support.tado.com/en/articles/4689126-how-does-tado-control-heating-zones-how-can-i-change-the-zone-controller-of-a-room0

I tried this but the upstairs wireless thermostat isn’t on the list of ‘Zone Controller’. The only options are the downstairs thermostat, the wireless receiver and zone controller.
How do I get the upstairs wireless thermostat on that list?0 -
The wireless temp sensor will be linked to the wireless receiver, which I would think would be the zone controller for your upstairs zone. I would think that the wired thermostat would be the zone controller for your downstairs zone.0

Thanks Johnny, that’s what I would think but the wireless thermostat upstairs is NOT an option as a ‘zone controller’0

That’s correct, it is not a zone controller as it is not physically linked to a heating zone. The zone controller is the wireless receiver.0
