Ideas to fix faulty Wireless Temperature Sensor

I'll start by saying Tado already sent me a replacement for the faulty unit :)

But, I'm left with a "spare" sensor, if I can somehow fix it. basically, it intermittently turns on/off, like there is a loose connection somewhere. Every few seconds. But it happens even when the unit is perfectly still. But is worse if i move it around (i.e. holding it in my hand) And sometimes it's off for many minutes/hours.

I opened it up and tried to narrow it down with a multimeter, but without much luck. The wires going into the battery terminals seemed good, and that was about as far as I got.

It's a bit of a long-shot, but I was wondering if anyone else had encountered anything similar and had any ideas about if/how i could possibly fix it...

Wee directive, don’t send to landfill. We put faulty electrical items on top of the recycling bin for collection by the LA.
