How accurate are the humidity readings
Hi just wondering how accurate are the humidity readings on the trv’s ?
Thanks

It really depends on the temperature reading accuracy of the TRV in that it's not humidity measured but relative humidity i.e. relative to temperature. Mine vary from 1 to 3 degrees at target temps. Room stats are more accurate.

I've been monitoring humidity using the tado TRV's and, given the time of year and UK weather, I decided to take action and buy a dehumidifier given I'm getting readings of over 70% humidity in some rooms.
Dehumidifier in place, doing its job well... but I noticed the humidity reading on the dehumidifier is way lower than the readings I'm getting from the tado TRVs... tado says 78% humidity.... dehumidifier reads 55%.
I decided to buy three standalone sensors and stand them next to each other, they all consistently read closer to the dehumidifier (+/- a few %), all WAY lower than the tado TRVs.
I tested this in each room, and for each, the readings on the standalone sensors and the dehumidifier are within a few %, but the tado TRVs are reading so much higher. Something isn't right here... the same applies to the temperature reading. Looks like tado is way off compared to multiple external devices.
I'd be keen to hear other views on this, and I'll also submit to tado as a ticket for a response.

I’ve noticed the exact same thing as mistachesta. My Nest and dehumidifier readings are all significantly lower than the Tado. When the Tado readings are around 70%, the dehumidifier and Nest are reporting 50-60%. I wonder if it’s just the proximity of the Tado to the feed pipes in the radiator that makes them read higher?

@Ej2k Potentially, although in two rooms (Dining Room & Living Room) I have Tado wireless thermostats which also measure humidity. These are situated in the opposite end of the room to the radiators, which have Tado TRV's. The Smart Thermostats are still reading way, way off what the actual humidity level is, according to 3rd party sensors so I'm not convinced it's down to positioning/ proximity to the rad feed pipes. In the other 8 rooms I just have TRV's on the rads.
According to Tado, the temperature sensor accuracy is 0.01°C but there's no reference/ claim regarding the accuracy of the humidity sensor for the TRV's or the Smart Thermostats .
I've given up with Tado's readings, they just aren't accurate at all - at least 10% higher - which makes the Air Comfort feature totally redundant.0 -
For several years I have used analogue TFA hygrometers to measure humidity in different rooms in my home. I am a newbee to tado X with only two weeks of tracksheet.
I have noticed a discrepancy between what the tado X thermostat is measuring when it comes to humidity and the TFA analogue hygrometer. I have moved the analogue TFA hygrometer around the room, but the measurement result only differs with one or two percent.
This very moment when I write this, the tado X thermostat measures 39 % humidity where the TFA analogue hygrometer measures 55 % humidity (when hanging on a wall 1½ m over the floor).
Since the tado X via the Air Comfort screen told me that the humidity of the room was dry, I had a Beurer air humidifier on today, which raised the humidity level from 32 % to 40% on tado X. The TFA hygrometer measurement increased with the same interval.
It is interesting that the word "hygrometer" is not to be found on the tado website:
I was wondering whether the tado X Smart Radiator Thermometer measures humidity like a hygrometer does?
