Two boilers, two protocols, two thermostats?
So... I'm looking into replacing my current Nest thermostat with Tado.
Our situation is as follows:
Old part of the house: 8 radiators, wired thermostat on boiler one (opentherm). New part of the house: Floor heating, no thermostat yet on boiler two (EMS).
Now I was thinking of getting the following, but I'm not sure this is right...
- 1x Tado wireless thermostat starter kit, for the floorheated part of the house. Connecting to boiler two by the EMS protocol.
- 1x Tado wired thermostat, for the radiator part of the house. Replacing the Nest and connecting straight to boiler one by the opentherm protocol.
- 8x Tado radiator valves.
Is this possible at all, and am I able to get all this in one and the same app? Also, is it possible to mix opentherm and EMS when using two boilers?
Can someone shine some light on this? I'm pretty confused in what to get...
