Can a Smart Radiator Valve be Controlled by Another Thermostat?

I've had a media wall installed recently. This means that my living room radiator has had a vented cover put around it. There's a cutout in the side for the smart radiator valve, so it works fine, but I'm concerned that the inside of the vented cover is getting hotter than the rest of the room. In my hallway (2 metres away) I have a Tado wireless thermostat. I'd like the smart radiator in the living room to use this temperature, can it be done?

    Yes, put the smart thermostat in the same room in the app as the living room trv and make the thermostat the measuring device. As you’re using it wirelessly you’re better off physically moving it to the living room too, unless there’s some reason why it has to be in the hallway.
