All I can say is that I recently changed FROM Zen and had no tado connection issues during the couple of years I was with them, so it's not Zen specific methinks.

Hmm ok thx. Did you have the same router…Fritz 7530? Reading up there is reference to this box being for very high speeds and is not able to have an internet bridge (10mb/s max) plugged into it0

Yep - 7530 - Just checked - I still have it they didn't want it back! However, my connection was not directly into the 7530 rather was it into a 6-way switch which itself connected to the 7530.

Thanks. This helps a lot. I need a switch box!0

Hi, Did the switch box solve your problem?
What did you use?

I'm close to installing Tado in a building with Fritzbox 7530 router (and Zen Internet) Can anyone confirm that this will work without any issues?
Also plan to power the Tado Internet bridge directly from the USB port on the router. Tado says this is quite possible, again can any users confirm this works satisfactorily?

Update: This from AVM, manufacturers of the Frizt box 7530:
"In general, the FRITZ!Box LAN ports support 10MBit/s connections including half-duplex and full-duplex mode.
The FRITZ!Box will auto-negotiate the speed offered by the LAN device and then use the best protocol supported by the LAN client."10Mbps half-duplex connection" is an extremely old network protocol which I haven't heard about for years, but the FRITZ!Box still supports it.
