Identifying TRVs

Options
Hello,

I’ve got 5 existing TRVs in a house I’ve just moved to which I can’t work out, they have an H with a flame coming out of them on the top which I think would be Honeywell?

Anyway the smart TRVs don’t fit with the old ones removed and none of the adapters seem to work either.

@stuartleech I've not seen one exactly like yours. From the shape of the TRV head and the wide push-down valve pin It has the look of a (old?) Pegler Terrier TRV. The new Peglers are not guaranteed to work with the Tado TRV. I've tried two brand new (BG branded) Peglers with Tado TRVs. One works mostly OK, the other doesn't work at all.

Personally, I'd bite the bullet and get a plumber in to fit five new Drayton, Honeywell or ecocall TRVs. These brands have a 'thin' push-down pin on a bi-directional 30mm body, don't need the adapters, and all have worked for me.

E.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Drayton-Classic-Thermostatic-Radiator-Valve/dp/B08L7W4RRC Five for less than £100 and ££? for a straightforward job by competent plumber or heating engineer.

    HTH.

I don't think that's a Honeywell TRV, I don't recognise the logo. Our Honeywell's have a narrower thread which has successfully paired with the tadoº heads . . .
