Tado with floor heating plus radiators
Currently I have the following setup:
* Downstairs: Wired Smart Thermostat with 4 radiators. Radiators have taps (not thermostatic valves)
* Other rooms: Tado TRV knob in each room radiator.
I'm planning to upgrade the heating system as follows:
* Downstairs: Wired Smart Thermostat with 3 radiators. Each radiator will get a thermostatic valve and a Tado TRV.
* Also Downstairs: Underfloor heating with 6 groups. I want to control this with Tado.
* Other rooms: Tado TRV knob in each room radiator. (no change)
What I want to do:
* Independently control different rooms.
* Because underfloor heating can take a lot of time to warm up, use few radiators downstairs as additional heating.
I'm not an expert - but I thought it may be a good idea to keep a few radiators downstairs in case the quality of insulation under the concrete is uncertain.
Questions:
* What are the additional Tado devices I need to purchase? Is it only a Wireless Extension Kit?
* I've seen some pictures where people connected TRVs to the distributor pomp. Is this a safe setup?
Thank you in advance!

Hi @Emcee,
Thanks for your reply. However, I no longer look for an answer because it's been a long time.
The official instructions schematic provided by Tado had instructed to use a Wireless Extension Kit and a zone valve. However, after discusing with the plumber, we decided to use a TRV to take the zone valve's place. (this is a brand new setup - not an already exiting underfloor heating system) A Wireless Extension Kit was then not needed. According to the plumber's opinion, a TRV would work better than an on-off zone valve.
This setup worked well through one winter so far. :)
The room thermostat inside the living room is connected to the boiler via OpenTherm.
The new TRV controls the water inlet to the distributor pump in the basement. In the Tado app, both devices are assigned to the living room. Room thermostat is assigned as the measuring device.
In the Tado app, I have also turned on Early Start.I decided to remove the remaining radiators from the living room after discussing with my renovation contractor.
The only downside I experienced is that the living room does not heat quickly in case of a sudden temperature drop/ weather change.I hope this is helpful for anyone who looks for answers in a similar setup.
Thanks,
