Incompatible with Worcester TR2?
So some years ago (2016!) I looked into Tado, and got as far as mailing Tado with a note of the heating that I have - "Worcester Bosch Greenstar 40 HE Plus combi boiler which is linked to a Worcester Bosch TR2 thermostat", and was told that it was supported.
Finally got tempted to sort things out, and ordered from Amazon; the 'wired starter kit' from https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B098B2W5GP/ref=emc_bcc_2_i?th=1 having felt quite reassured that the compatability list at https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/714cPDlErUS.pdf gave a comprehensive 'all types compatible' comfirmation for Worcester.
And so today I go to set it up, and on telling it that I have a TR2...
Have I missed something obvious here? Is it not possible to switch the setup I have over to Tado?

You don’t any to use those wires. You’ll need to connect to the switched live boiler connections.

Are you meaning, I'd need to disconnect the TR2, essentially ignore it, and then get the 'wireless' starter kit, this one, and wire it in to the boiler direct? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B098BKHT3R/ref=emc_bcc_2_i?th=1

You can wire the thermostat to the boiler on a relay connection. You won’t have control over the hot water temperature via Tado but you’ll be able to control heating.0

As Johnny says above. It's a combi I presume.

Did you ever get this wired up correctly? I’m struggling to get my 30 HE Plus to talk to Tado but it won’t control at all on the 230V block.0

Afraid I gave up and refunded the unit I had from Amazon, having received zero response from Tado themselves and the inference here was that I had the wrong unit and would need the 'wireless' starter kit.

You didn’t have the wrong kit. Should have worked fine on a relay connection.0

The relay connection works if you have it in constant-on “comfort mode”… the problem is in that particular mode, the CH pump runs constantly even with no demand which isn’t ideal. If you put the boiler in to automatic, it doesn’t accept the demand signal. Just stays idle.0
