Boost - Wireless Receiver

Just a couple of questions.
If internet was to be down for a day or a few hours how do I boost from the Wireless Receiver? My undernstanding is by pressing the On button it will switch it on until press again?
Another question if we press Boost on the app is there a way to know how much is left on the boost? I assume boost is for 1h
