Cooling function for Heat Pumps with floor cooling
Please create a function where we can use Tado with a heat pump (equipped with a cooling function) connected to a floor heating system to cool the rooms (with Tado thermostat) to the specified temperature.
Each room is equipped with Wireless Smart Thermostat or Wireless Temperature Sensor. The heat pump is connected to the Wireless Receiver. Each floor heating circuit (1 or 2 per room) has a Smart Radiator Knob at the circuit distribution.

I didn't even know you could cool a floor with a heat pump. Learn something every day? Is this something that's common in countries outside the UK?

At least in the Netherlands it's not uncommon. Brands of heat pumps that have this option are for example Mercuria and Mitsubishi.0

Here in the south of Spain the consumption of my heat pump, with underfloor heating/cold, is much higher in summer than in winter. I will buy Tado thermostats when a cooling mode is available. Not till the date... as you can see here: https://community.tado.com/en-gb/discussion/8741/summer-cooling-mode-for-wall-thermostat/p1

In Hungary also common. This should be supported by such expensive smart thermostats.1

Heat pumps are being installed all over the world - in Europe there is even a 2024 directive that is banning gas boilers.
Is it possible that Tado thermostats don't yet implement the cooling mode? What are you waiting for? There are many other players that offer ready-made products for heat and cool modes - I'm sure it's just a software issue to be implemented in mobile apps and firmware..0 -
..also: how can you pretend to "Go Green with tado°: Sustainable Heating Solutions" if you only supports gas boilers and infrared air conditioners? Do you know that air/water heat pumps are a reality?
Please look at competitors like Finder, BTicino, Vimar, Fantini-Cosmi.. there are tons of vendor ready for heating/cooling with heat pumps - Tado is better on the smarthome integrations side, but the advantage will not last long0 -
Common in Italy too.

If no other solution comes from Tado, many users like me (according to many social network groups and blogs) are switching away from Tado versus other vendors or much more complicated solutions with Home Automation.
But this is "unpleasant" and a real shame.0 -
Still nothing going on this? So far, the only way to manage my heating/cooling convector during summer is to trick the temperature compensation to decrease the room Senseo temperature by 10°C and then ask tado to heat the room to maximum ( as Real room temperature never goes above 35°C degrees it at least allow me to command tado valves to open and initiate my heat pump)1
