Tado smart thermostats and existing Center Wireless controller
I've recently set up new Tado Smart Radiator Thermostats which work well but only if the existing Center Wireless controller (pictured) is set to higher than any of the rooms.
This is connected to a Worcester Greenstar I ErP boiler.
Is this the correct way to use it? Just to set the wireless timer to hotter than a room or put in a cold room? or would it mean the boiler is firing up when it isn't needed e.g. all the time, and I should disconnect it from the system. If so, how would I go about that?
(Sorry for the questions, trying to get my head around how all of this works)

The smart radiator thermostats by themselves cannot turn the boiler on/off. All they can do is control the heat output from individual radiators. You will need to set the existing thermostat to a higher temperature and possibly increase the scheduled times each day. Also, when you leave the property you can turn off the radiator thermostats, but your existing thermostat will continue to turn on the boiler.
To get full control of the boiler you will need to replace the current thermostat with a Tado wired/wireless thermostat.
