Boiler ignoring thermostat?
I've installed my wired extension kit onto our Baxi 830 today. All seemed to pair up and work ok but the only other device I've installed so far is the smart thermostat.
This is in our living room and was initially reading 23c when installed.
I then used the app to turn the desired temperature for the room down to 18c. The temperature has then continued to climb all day. I then tried turning the heating to zero and it still continued to stay very hot...
The boiler itself is showing 80c whenever I turn one of the dials (hot water or heating temp).
I have popped a message through the support bot - but in the meantime has anyone got any ideas what I may be doing wrong (or if I'm misunderstanding how things should work).
Thanks,
Steve

(For now i've turned the Tado kit off at the mains and reset the boiler to save us cooking)

Can this problem be linked to your earlier post? Why start a new thread?😕

@WillYZF As it's a different issue it seemed appropriate to have a thread with a more appropriate title/description. If that goes against the conventions here then my apologies...

Sounds like a wiring problem.

It was! Thank you.
The consumer instructions for installing Tado didn't mention removing the bridge cable that keeps a new Baxi boiler constantly on...
