Using OpenHab or IFTTT for more control
I testing a Tado radiator thermostat to operate the heating in a secondary home.
I need to be able to switch the home between "home" and "away" modes manually. I also need several "home" modes, as I only want to heat bedrooms that are needed.
I already discovered that the APP, and the Web service is not suited for what I want. So I am interested if more control can be achieved using IFTTT and/or OpenHab.
More specifically: Can I set a temperature using OpenHab? Using IFTTT?
I would then just define several "scenes", with a temperature set for each room in each scene, and switch between them as needed.
Anyone here in the community have good experience with the Tado/OpenHab integration?

I have the same question. I haven't set anything up yet but take a look here:
Let me know if that works for you. It would make me more likely to purchase set up tado. I'm also still looking at alternatives that have less vendor lock-in.
