Status of radiators when cannot reach bridge
I have 10 smart thermostats on radiators. Two of them intermittently disconnect from the bridge (which is connected fine to the internet as the other 8 smart thermostats show all OK with connection).
I am currently away and the Away setting says keep every room at 10 degs C. This works well and whenever a room goes below 10 degs C the heating kicks in. All good so far.
The question is, when the smart thermostat on a radiator loses its connection to the bridge what status is that thermostat in? As I'm away, it doesn;t need any updates on schedules, etc. but does the smart radiator respect the 10 degs C setting so that even though it isn't connected to the bridge it still 'knows' to keep the room at 10? Or does it stay in whatever state it was when it lost its connection? That is, if it was on at that time (getting the room to 10) it continues to be on and if it was off it continues to stay off? And if the latter then will the 5 degs C frost protection kick in even though its not connected to the bridge?
Thanks for any clarity on what happens in these circumstances.
