Wireless receiver setup - HW NO (actually open)

Hi,

I've just installed a new Wireless receiver with wireless room stat but i'm struggling with the 'hot water' side of setup.

I've taken the common (live) from the central heating (common) but as soon as I connect this up the HW NO becomes open which means the hot water is on constantly rather than being switched on when required.

Is there a setting I change to rectify this?

I need to replace an old economy7 switch from which I have two wires (L / N).

Many thanks,

Phill

  • I'm wondering if it's because our boiler setup is a little different to most, in that we have to 'charge it' off peak and then it dispenses heat throughout the day as required.

I suspect that as we've using a 'switched live' setup via the wireless receiver that we will need to get a separate stand alone controller for the off peak 'charging'

Ideally what I need it to do:

    • As is for the central heating
    • Use a schedule within Tado to activate the economy 7 charging (which is what i was hoping to use the 'hot water' function for)
