Nest and Tado
Hi, I'm looking add some smart radiator valves to my system. I have a Nest which I'm happy with but I have a couple of rooms that I want programmable valves on (rooms that are only ever used at certain times). My question is what gear do I buy? Do I literally just buy valves or do I also need a bridge?
Also if I add a bridge to my router will it also work through a WiFi extender?

I'm not 100% sure if you need the bridge, or that a trv could work completely stand alone, but I strongly suspect they cannot. You'd need the bridge for any kind of remote access anyway, and it does work off a switch, accesspoint or extender.1

Thanks, they will work like that was just unsure about the bridge really. I have a few rooms that don't need to be very warm in mornings and a room that is only used office hours so want these to basically programme the tvr for set hours whilst the Nest cracks on0
