Need help - Vaillant System Boiler + Tado
Hi all,
For context, I can’t get the Tado system to control heating or hot water even though I’ve followed instructions to install.
For details:
- I have an EU version of the Tado Wireless Reviever that supports eBUS
- I have a Vaillant Ecotec Plus 637 system boiler that Tado is connected to
- I have a Honeywell ST9400c Programmer also connected to the boiler
- I also have a wired Honeywell thermostat
- and a unvented hot water tank, which has its own thermostat too
The issue, I’ve connected Tado - the instructions haven’t asked me to decommission the St9400c or wired thermostat so assume these are still in control of hot water and central heating.
And also I have the EU plug but wondered if could wire Tado directly into a UK 13amp fused spur.
I’ve contacted Tado and no response at all for a week
Can include images but can’t see how..

You can use the desktop version of the forum to post pictures. I don’t know for sure but I think you will need to unwire at least the thermostat. You can wire the wireless receiver to a fused spur.0
