Boiler won’t switch off

My heating turns on via the app fine fires up boiler no Issues heats up rads. When I turn off via app it shows switched off however boiler still on. Anyone experienced the same issues before? I have to switch off boiler then back on and it goes back to normal. Not healthy to keep switching off boiler but then heating will stay continuously on.

    @vish316 Is the boiler a) ON and heating? or b) ON and not heating?

    a) Is the heating switched off at the wireless/wired controller? Is the LED 'ON'? Is the CH relay stuck ? Check CH OFF and CH ON for power with an insulated mains tester? Is the CH zone valve stuck open ? Check for power with the mains tester at the wiring centre. If in any doubt about checking the electrics, engage a qualified professional.

    b) Is it 'pump overrun'? Modern boilers will 'pump overrun' to dissipate heat from the boiler through a bypass, Some boilers have an internal bypass, some bypasses are on the pipework and some rely on an uncontrolled radiator. The overrun should be no longer than 5-10 minutes. For any gas appliance work, always engage a qualified and registered professional.

    The boiler kept going after heating was switched off from app. I have now managed to sorted it as one of the trvs was causing and issue. After removing it the problems seems to have disappeared.
