I don't get it, please help

My setup:

One thermostate and 6 Radiator knob.

All knobs are controlled by the thermostate.

Two knobs are in the same room ('Living') with the thermostate.

My question: should I control the radiators in my Living with the thermostate? What does the temperature setting (with the hand) on the thermostate indicate at all?

Does Thermostate OFF mean: all radiators off?

I think I would understand everything if the Thermostate wouldn't exist....

The hand indicates the temperature you’ve set it to. Think of rooms, not devices- if you turn the temperature to off on any device in the room you turn the room off. The thermostat only controls the room it’s in.
  • Thanks johnnyp78

So, if I correctly understand you:

I put the thermostate on, let's say, 20 degrees, the knobs in that room will open up, until that temperature is reached. Is that correct?

What if I manually change one of these knobs: I switch one of them off, and put the other to 15 degrees. What would happen?

And, again if I understand you correctly, I can heat other rooms, while the thermostate is turned off.

  • Sorry, I kind of missed this one: "if you turn the temperature to off on any device in the room you turn the room off"

Which leaves the question: if all devices in the room are switched on, then the thermostate's temperature is leading?

  • One device in the room will be set as measuring device. You can set it in settings > rooms and devices > click on room. Usually it’s the thermostat/wireless temp sensor.

You won’t be able to set the trvs to different temps if they’re in the same room, you can only set the temp of the room.
