Why does hot water come on whilst in away mode?
Been away for 5 days and checking my shell energy app which’s says I have been using the gas? On checking tado app my hot water was on in its scheduled time but it also said tado was in away mode so why is it coming on? This has now happened a good few times whilst being away but not every day? I no I don’t have the hot water tab set to on in away mode . Pretty pointless have tado if I’m going to have to turn boiler off on wall when going away next time

If you’re certain you do have geolocation toggled on for your programmed water blocks then you’ll likely need to contact Tado support to look into this. Assuming your heating geolocation is working properly?
Only if geolocation is off in the programmed block, should Tado ignore you being away from home.0 -
Ok, it doesn’t happen every day but looking at shell app I have been away for 5 days and only 1 of those days was it just the standing charge for gas and every other day it has been used so the hot water is coming on even though the app says I’m away , been doing this on and off during year whilst away so have contacted tado support , otherwise what’s the point of having geolocation ? Next time I’m gonna have to delete time blocks or turn boiler off at wall when away in January0

I have my geolocation off for HW as otherwise, I find when we get home after a day out, we have to heat the HW rather than the house, which can mean a chilly start in winter.
I manually turn the HW off when we go away. Not at all 'smart', but never lets me down. I turn it back on the morning we're coming home.

@Nordicgod I would do as @DM932187 mentioned earlier and double check every time block that you've got the Geofencing Control toggle enabled under the Advanced Settings section. This needs to be enabled for every time block you have. Possibly worth checking your heating ones too... Just in case.0
