Tado NOT safe! (valve fully open on low batteries)
A while ago I got a warning that the batteries are low on one of my devices for a radiator - and by the way battery life completely sucks with tado. They only last a couple of months - total lie in your docs that they can last up to 2 years… but anyway ! Apparently tado advertises that when batteries are too low, the valve will be shut down so that the heating doesnt go to MAX. But what happened to me was the complete opposite - valve remained fully open , heating to the max, no warning no alert. At least i was at home , replaced the batteries immediately and vavle started functioning in a normal way. I am saying it is NOT a faulty device. It is just faulty design, this product should be completely banned. You had to get one thing right and that is safety ! I already thew all tado devices in the trash and will be replacing with something better. Just FYI

I don't understand how a radiator being on isn't safe? Is your house made out of ice? Do you store petrol against your radiators?

@ZStationUK Heating on max and valve wide open he claimed. Not sure whether or not he had small children but......think on! Silly comments about petrol and ice methinks.

If people were to set the flow temp to a reasonable level this wouldn’t be an issue, though in fairness Tado should sort this out as well.0
