Timer on boiler
Hello, I have a boiler (ideal i2 35) which has the timer, for setting when the boiler comes on, on the boiler itself. I have today installed the wired thermostat to replace the old one and although I can control the temperature I cannot control the timer.
I tried having the boiler on constantly thinking Tado thermostat would take over however this doesn't seem to be the case as the heating was on after it was due to turn off.
I'm wondering if I have missed something or my boiler isn't compatible? Or perhaps although I have the wired thermostat I might need the wireless one for controlling the heating schedule?
Thanks in advance.

If setting the timer to always on doesn’t work there’s either a problem with your wiring or you might need to remove it and put a timer link plug in place instead. What did the instructions from Tado say?0
