Hi, I have a Hive thermostat and Tado TRVs which are working really well, but I’ve been wondering if there is any advantage to going completely Tado and replacing the Hive thermostat? I’d appreciate anyone’s thoughts.

    What kind of boiler do you have? If it’s a gas combi that supports Opentherm or some forms of ebus, you can buy an eu wireless receiver or wired thermostat and use modulation, which should save energy and put less stress on the components.

    If you’ve got a system or oil fired boiler and you’re happy with your current system, I’d stick with what you have.
